During this time, I had gotten alot of help from people that I would have never imagined meeting before who voluntarily taught me alot of "Secret" tricks-of-the-trade like:The Late BOBBY DEBARGE, BYRON SAMUEL and everyone at WAXTRAX! records/TVT, JAM RAG MAGAZINE of MICHIGAN, Professor MARVIN-MARVIN SOROWITZ, TOM NESS,My brother, Chicago guitarist Blues great, Jon Mcdonald, GEOFF WILBUR's Renegade Newsletter, Chicago, Illinois METRO live music club, MTV, WGRD in Michigan, DANNY BONADUCE', SUZIN VANDERCOOK, KINX 107.3 hard rock radio of Montana, and a "few" others too numerous to name !
These people and organizations taught and helped me acheive fame at the local and regional levels, and made a lot of money based on the art of PLANNING and SCHMOOZING !
Gruve Kore Records methods are based on the "NEW-Music" industry concepts and techniques which I have found to work by taking matters into my own hands.
I basically started my own record label; ghetto style, because I had no money in the beginning; applied for my own UCC vendor code, got my own bar coding software, and began producing bar codes.
I started providing the use of my record label to other bands and musicians so that my talented peers, who also hardly had any money either, could get some of the benefits of being on a record label, without any of the BS and commitments of dealing with one.
For a low cost, musicians and bands don't have to go through the same mistakes and all the hassle of applying for their own UCC vendor code, buying their own software, creating their own bar codes, and spending a ton of money just to be able to reach distributors and retail outlets. Gruve Kore Records would give them use of the record label and the record label accomplished 75% of the BUSINESS for them.
So that's what I did ... and Gruve Kore Records was born.
I basically just took everything I knew to survive, organized everything I did into coherent and simple to understand steps, and built up a business on my aquired knowledge. So I know 1st hand that anyone can do it and I have dedicated my life to helping those who have a strong enough desire realize their artistic goals and dreams!!
